Get Seeded Awards $6,000 in Grants for March

Six student startup teams received $6,000 in Get Seeded milestone grants in the round ending in March 2025. See below for a list of teams and their product ideas.

The final pitch event for regular grants was held at Lassonde Studios. It included live startup pitches, free food, and public voting to determine who received grants.

Get Seeded is a milestone grant funding program open to all students at the University of Utah. Students requesting more than $500 follow a three-step process, concluding at the final pitch event. Students requesting $500 or less — called microgrants — are funded after a two-step process.

All University of Utah students are welcome to apply for grants. The first step is to apply online.

The program is managed by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute at the University of Utah and sponsored by Doxy.me, Cyprus Credit Union, Startup State, and the Rosann Family.

Regular Grants

Alchemist — $1,500

Alchemist is an innovative luxury fitness club that redefines the traditional gym experience. Their dual gym system allows members to work out at the gym while also enjoying the convenience of exercising at home or in a local park.

Automagically Marketing — $1,500

Automagically Marketing is a marketing agency that utilizes personal connections and advanced technology to help small businesses create high-quality and cost-effective marketing solutions tailored to them.

Utah Outdoor Therapies — $1,500

Utah Outdoor Therapies is focused on providing outdoor mental health treatment to underserved and underprivileged communities in the Salt Lake Valley. They provide an outdoor day treatment program, which allows individuals to access outdoor treatment without leaving their families.

Microgrants

Artisan Hearths — $500

A custom-designed fire pit targeting low to medium-income homeowners with limited patio space or small backyards.

OHME — $500

OHME is a fashion-forward glove brand that keeps people warm in style.

SOUR — $500

SOUR is a social media e-commerce platform that fosters a vibrant community of fashion enthusiasts by connecting buyers and sellers through engaging photos, videos, and personalized recommendations. Sellers can list items using auto-generated product descriptions and post rich multimedia content, streamlining the listing process. Buyers enjoy a curated feed tailored to their style, making second-hand shopping convenient, enjoyable, and seamless.
