University of Utah Master of Business Creation Graduate Leads High-Level Trade Delegation in Peru

Jared Snow, a recent graduate of the University of Utah’s Master of Business Creation (MBC) program and CEO of Destination Peru, played a central role in a historic Utah trade delegation to Peru — serving not only as a participant, but as the operator responsible for executing the delegation’s travel and on-the-ground experience in Cusco and Machu Picchu.

The delegation, organized in collaboration with the World Trade Center Utah and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, coincided with a milestone moment in Utah – Peru relations: the launch of the first-ever nonstop commercial flight between Salt Lake City and Lima. This new connection represents a major step forward in strengthening economic, cultural, and tourism ties between the two regions.

Snow’s involvement began through relationships built during his time in the MBC program, where he connected with key leaders at World Trade Center Utah. What followed was an opportunity that extended far beyond participation. As plans for the delegation developed, Snow and his company, Destination Peru — a luxury destination management company specializing in high-end travel experiences—were selected to design and execute the Peru-based portion of the trip.

“I went down initially as a delegate, excited to be part of the conversations,” Snow said. “But as things evolved, I had the opportunity to step in and fully operate the Cusco and Machu Picchu portion of the experience. It was an incredible responsibility—and an honor.”

Snow and his team managed all logistics for the delegation’s time in southern Peru, including transportation, accommodations, guided experiences, and access to one of the world’s most iconic destinations: Machu Picchu. Beyond logistics, Snow also played host — ensuring that visiting leaders from Utah experienced Peru at the highest level while facilitating meaningful connections with local partners and stakeholders.

The delegation included a cross-section of Utah’s business and political leadership, all focused on building stronger economic ties with Peru. The trip highlighted opportunities across sectors including tourism, agriculture, and trade, reinforcing Peru’s role as a strategic partner for Utah businesses.

For the University of Utah, Snow’s leadership represents the kind of real-world impact the Master’s in Business Creation program is designed to foster.

“This is exactly what the MBC program is about—building, executing, and creating value in real time,” Snow said. “The connections I made through the program directly led to this opportunity. It’s a perfect example of how powerful that ecosystem can be.”

As CEO of Destination Peru, Snow has spent more than a decade developing deep operational expertise and relationships across the country. This experience, combined with the strategic thinking and network gained through the MBC program, positioned him to successfully deliver a complex, high-stakes international delegation.

The result was more than a successful trip — it was a seamless, high-touch experience that showcased the best of Peru while strengthening ties between two regions with growing economic alignment.

“This was about more than travel,” Snow said. “It was about building bridges — between Utah and Peru, between business leaders, and between opportunity and execution.”
