The Utah Student AI Gateway gives University of Utah students the tools to create with AI
The Utah Student AI Gateway is an initiative to give University of Utah students hands-on access to AI tools for building, not just chatting. Powered by Redtail, Utah’s own supercomputer, the Gateway puts the capacity to create with AI directly in students’ hands, whether for coursework, hackathons, or startup ideas, with student work staying on University infrastructure. It is a collaboration between the Kahlert School of Computing, the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, and industry partner LlamaPress AI, with a shared goal of preparing Utah students for a future where building with AI is a fundamental skill. Redtail is managed by the Center for High Performance Computing at the University of Utah.
