The Sorenson Center for Discovery and Innovation at the David Eccles School of Business invites all to the 2015 annual GrandPrix Kick-Off at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20 in the Alumni Hall at the Health Sciences Education Building (map). This event will officially kick off the challenges for the 2015 GrandPrix and will feature a keynote address from David Aylward, president of COMCARE, and senior advisor, global health and technology, at Ashoka. Come take advantage of this networking opportunity and receive firsthand knowledge to improve your odds in the competition for $30,000 in prizes.
Challenges for the GrandPrix fall into six different tracks, and include specific company challenges from MetLife, Arches Healthcare and Centerstone Research Institute. Representatives from each sponsor will be present to answer questions and give insight on the challenge they have issued. The main objective of these challenges is to revolutionize and disrupt health and wellness using digital technologies ranging from apps to games that transform our experiences and expectations. This is a great way for creative, innovative students to make a difference especially in the healthcare space.
