[UPDATE 03-25-15: Deadline extended to April 10.]
The Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute is now accepting applications for students to join the Pierre and Claudette MacKay Lassonde New Venture Development Center. Applications will be accepted March 1 to April 10, 2015.
Students selected work on interdisciplinary teams to help faculty inventors develop business plans and, in many cases, launch startup companies around their technologies. In the process, students receive hands-on training in technology commercialization, business development, marketing, regulatory markets and more.
The center is open to all graduate students at the University of Utah. The program has traditionally attracted students from majors including business, engineering, law, science and health.
The Lassonde New Venture Development Center began in 2001. It was the first program offered by what is now the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, an interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. The program has resulted in many new products and dozens of successful startup companies.
