Meet the 26 startup teams in our Company Launch program at Lassonde Studios for fall 2024. They are a diverse group of students working in many different industries. Find a complete list below.
Company Launch offers these startup teams office space at Lassonde Studios, cohort gatherings, workshops, staff coaches, peer mentors, and more. All students at the University of Utah are welcome to apply to join the program. Startups are admitted every semester.
The program is managed by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute and sponsored by Zions Bank.

Alon Meir Piano Tuning – Alon Meir Piano Tuning tunes and repairs pianos across Salt Lake City.
Apropos Cosmo – Apropos Cosmo is a beauty store where every product is cruelty-free and vegan.
BabySharks Swim Academy – BabySharks Swim Academy is a safety-based swim school, which focuses on the child’s safety and confidence in the pool. They are a hybrid program and teach both forward motion and the fundamental float on their back. Children will be equipped to save themselves and have the resources they need when coming into contact with water.
Big Trust Cosmetic – Big Trust Cosmetic is a Korean cosmetics company that sells acne patches, sunscreen, and facemasks.
Breezy Ski Co. – Breezy Ski Co. is an environmentally conscious ski gear and supply company specializing in heated ski bags and apparel.
CampusConnect – CampusConnect is a platform that enhances communication, collaboration, and resource-sharing between potential students and universities.
Cineractive – Cineractive is creating interactive display technology as an alternative to static advertisements.
Conscious – Conscious is an app and Chrome extension that offers sustainability metrics and provides lower carbon alternatives for the products they are shopping for. The Chrome extension would pop up with sustainable alternatives as consumers shop and the app would have a tool to scan barcodes for a product’s sustainability profile.
Duo Silhouette – Duo Silhouette is creating a digitally adjustable mannequin for seamstresses.
HomeBrew – HomeBrew is a development company that specializes in building small business management web apps for early-stage startups
InStep Orthotics – InStep Orthotics is a medical brace company that will combine existing models of ankle and foot orthotics systems with modular components to easily adjust and modify braces and orthotics. Currently, the process of having an orthotic adjusted is very time consuming and inaccurate. InStep aims to shorten the process and allow for a greater degree of accuracy when modifying an orthotic, as well as to create an orthotic that is comfortable and designed to fit a patient’s particular lifestyle.
JewelryByCerulean – JewelryByCerulean sells handmade jewelry inspired by the natural beauty of Utah’s Wasatch and Oquirrh mountain ranges, featuring rough and polished cuts of labradorite and clean, geometric gold designs. Ten percent of their profits go to support conservation efforts of Utah’s diverse wildlife and ecosystems.
Luv gluvs – Luv gluvs is a ski glove company selling custom-made, laser-engraved gloves. They also engrave customers’ existing gloves. They aim toward creating an affordable glove that the mountain community is proud to show off.
NaviGuide – NaviGuide is a platform helping low-income high school students get into their school of choice by using AI that is tailored to each student’s goals.
Organic Vestitus – Organic Vestitus is an organic lifestyle brand that creates hemp apparel. The apparel will differentiate from the lack of creativity in the current hemp clothing industry. They are working toward raising awareness about global climate issues and the environmental benefits of hemp.
Paradise Aquatics – Paradise Aquatics is a company creating a collapsible, easy-to-assemble aquarium designed for short-term use and emergency situations.
Plateabo – Plateabo is a tea company built around the concept of placebos. Plateabo creates teas focused on creating confidence-boosting effects through different tea blends and the placebo concept.
SadieB Personal Care – SadieB is a personal care company for Gen Z girls with a social mission of empowering girls through products that focus on their abilities, accomplishments, and goodness rather than the look they are trying to achieve. SadieB is founded, led, and operated by girls with a girl’s P.O.V. Through products, opportunities, and voice, their purpose is to empower every girl to be an unstoppable force for good. With products like the Athlete, Go-getter, Adventurer, and Creator, girls can focus on their goals. They give girls opportunities to learn and jump-start their career paths through their mentorship program. Lastly, they support causes like the Girl Up United Nations Foundation and more.
Quantonium – Quantonium is a video game development company. They will develop games to pitch to publishers or self-publish with a small team.
Smart Sprinkler – Smart Sprinkler is a product that allows users to water their lawns and gardens easily and affordably. The product comes with an accompanying app and is designed for easy installation by the customer, resulting in savings of up to 50% compared to traditional sprinkler systems.
Sneakerdonjohn – Sneakerdonjohn is a sneaker company that brings high-end and exclusive rare sneakers to the public resell market.
Sonatic – Sonatic unifies the music realm through a dedicated interface. Their mission is to increase connection beyond the modern listening experience. The platform has three main features: Convo, Creator Studio, and the Feed. Convo allows users to interact with music in a new way by introducing annotation-style threads. The Creator Studio allows users to creatively express themselves by curating their user profiles with their favorite albums, lyrics, and annotations.
SynerLynx – SynerLynx is a business consulting company that helps to solve business problems and build up businesses in return for private equity in the companies.
Timpanogos Salt Delivery – Timpanogos Salt is a monthly subscription service for premium, high-quality water softener salt.
TopShelf – TopShelf provides innovative storage solutions through durable, custom organizational products.
U Bike Go – U Bike Go is a micro-mobility solution for students on the University of Utah campus.
Vamp Pro Services – Vamp Pro Services is a real estate and construction company that offers a variety of home improvement services. They will buy or sell homes commission-free with the agreement that they invest that money into improving their home.
