Three student startup teams received $6,711 in milestone grants at the monthly Get Seeded Final Pitch Event at Lassonde Studios on July 17. See below for a list of teams and their product ideas.
Get Seeded is a monthly milestone grant funding program open to all college students in Utah. The first step is to apply online. Top teams advance to the Final Pitch Event, where they pitch to an audience that votes on who gets funded. All university students in Utah are welcome to apply for grants.
The program is managed by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute at the University of Utah and sponsored by Zions Bank.

Project Embrace — $2,211
Collects gently used medical technology from patients who no longer need them and redistributes to those who face obstacles in accessing the same medical devices.
Little Wanderers Studios — $2,000
Currently developing a 2.5-D platform game whose main character is an ambiguous person. They sound combat their enemies and explore their past.
Beacon Sleep Solutions — $2,500
Wrist-worn medical device to wake people from sleep paralysis, sleepwalking, night terrors, PTSD episodes, and other parasomnias.
