LIYEN is a student startup that has leveraged numerous programs at the University of Utah and the Lassonde Entrepreneur Center. The company is developing an inhaler that looks more attractive than standard models, which can make people embarrassed to use them.

Bench-2-Bedside is a medical device competition for students at the University of Utah. Teams compete from all departments on campus. They get $500 to develop prototypes and compete for more than $70,000 in prizes.
Veristride is a startup company launched by Stacy Bamberg, a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Utah. Veristride is developing a smart insole that helps people improve their gait. Target customers include amputees who often need help to walk naturally. Veristride’s device provides instantaneous feedback through a smartphone application.
