The University of Utah is the No. 10 most entrepreneurial school in America, according to Affordable Schools, a higher education resource that connects people with the best affordable colleges. Affordable Schools listed the University of Utah among the “50 Most Entrepreneurial Schools in America” in a recent report. The ranking is the latest in a series of top-10 rankings for entrepreneurial programs at the University of Utah.

Entrepreneurship programs at the University of Utah are provided by the David Eccles School of Business and its Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute and Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy.

Through these divisions, the Eccles School provides many programs and opportunities to student entrepreneurs. They include a major, minor, certificate, master’s, grant programs, workshops, maker space, mentoring, and more. The Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute also welcomes all students on campus to “live, create, launch” at Lassonde Studios, an internationally acclaimed, five-story facility for student entrepreneurs.

“A nationally ranked hub for student innovators and entrepreneurs at UT, the Lassonde Institute offers a myriad of live programs, workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities as well as business model and medical innovation competitions,” Affordable Schools reported. “The Eccles School is also expanding entrepreneurship options with the addition of a global program, new courses, and world-renowned researchers and faculty.”

In recent years, the school has rapidly grown its entrepreneurship offerings to provide all students at the University of Utah with an opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship in the classroom and through many extracurricular opportunities. The Eccles School is now consistently ranked among the top 10 entrepreneur programs in the country.

“UT’s MBA program is ranked among the best in the nation for entrepreneurship, and students learn actionable skills, real-world best practices, and theoretical frameworks important for entrepreneurial success in an experiential classroom environment,” Affordable Schools reported.

To create the rankings, Affordable Schools looked at the average cost of attendance, average earnings of graduates, and college rankings.
