[UPDATED: 9-21-26]
Below is the general reservation process for living at Lassonde Studios. Contact us with questions. Contact us with questions. Submit a Lassonde Studios housing interest form here.
1. Apply to the University of Utah (new students only)
Only students admitted to the University of Utah can live at Lassonde Studios. But we strongly encourage you to submit a Lassonde Studios interest form as soon as you can, even if you haven’t been admitted to the U yet. This allows us to review your application while you’re waiting for admissions acceptance. Find more campus admissions information here.
2. Complete the Lassonde Studios housing interst form
The interest form is open all year and is the best way to receive updates on scholarships and important dates. All incoming and current U students can complete the form. We encourage you to complete the form during our priority review period (which is generally from August to mid-February for the following academic year). After this period, students can reserve a room and at Lassonde Studios. When all rooms are reserved, students that complete the interest form are placed on a waitlist. Note the Lassonde Studios interest form is supplemental to the general campus housing application and process through Housing & Dining Programs. Submit a Lassonde Studios housing interest form here.
3. Reserve Your Bed at Lassonde Studios with Housing & Dining Programs
In addition to completing a Lassonde Studios housing interest form with us, you must reserve your bed through Housing and Dining Programs (HDP) and pay a one-time application fee. To do this, you must be admitted to the U and have a university identification number (uNID). Learn more about the HDP process and timeline here. This reservation process opens later than the Lassonde Studios interest form, and the timeline varies for first-year and upper-class students.
5. Move into Lassonde Studios
Students move in for the academic year starting in August. Other students can move in as rooms are available and will be notified about the appropriate date.
